The initial idea behind The Dream Cup sprung from the simple desire of Director, Kodi Lewis to assist his brother, and elite Barbadian tennis player, Haydn Lewis in achieving his “Dream” of competing on the ATP Tour with the world’s best. This led to the creation of a fundraising tennis exhibition match in Barbados, named “Tennis Pon de Rock”, and has subsequently evolved into The Dream Cup,
a prize event and one of the most exclusive invitational tennis competitions featuring four of the world’s best tennis players. The Dream Cup has also expanded its goals and aims to help support not only Barbados’ top tennis talent but also to provide assistance to the island’s young aspiring players and youth tennis development programs.
